In September 1997 and born from a frustration of working within a large multi-national company, long time friends and work colleagues Fred Heavey and Colin Barlow left to form Crystal Shower Screens, soon after joined by friend and colleague Kim Pidgeon. The three set out to put together a team of proven industry performers to deliver their vision.

It wasn't long before Crystal Shower Screens developed into Crystal Interior Concepts when it became obvious that Crystal was so much more than a Shower Screen Company. Developing into an industry leader, Crystal was now also manufacturing Wardrobes, Splashbacks and Mirrors.

They decided at an early stage not to try to be everything to everybody, but to be a formidable part of the industry specializing in volume homebuilders. Their philosophy being "What we promise we deliver".

To date their current customers include 13 of the top volume builders in Victoria. Their systems have been developed to service this industry, and are capable of handling in excess of 250 site managers enquires daily.

They believe the difference at Crystal are the people behind the scenes. Reinforced by the high percentage of employees that have remained with them since the beginning, "that one day in September".

Customer relationships are a very important part of their business endorsed by the fact that many of their customers continue to choose Crystal and have done so from day one.
